Information for Growers

Dipladenia;

Growing Method.
Use a good quality growing media with a PH of 6 or less. Plant plug carefully making sure that the bottom leaves are not covered.
For the first 2 weeks water every day, thereafter allow the media to dry slightly before watering. Do not over water. Dipladenia likes a lot of light.
Heat to a minimum of 14deg.C in winter.

Disease and insect control.
Dipladenia is susceptible to White Fly (Bemisia Tabaci) and mites .Regular preventative spraying is recommended. Use appropriate local products.

Growth Hormones.
Plants are prone to elongation of the internodes in adverse conditions, (e.g. insufficient light). Spraying with growth retardant hormone is recommended. Please test the local available product before extensive use.
Fertilization.
Recommended a low level of fertilizer during the first 3 weeks (8.3.7.).Once plants are established use the same concentration but increase the N. to 100ppm (1.5 liters to 1m cu.)Fertilizer based on ammonia nitrate have produced good results

Mandevilla

Allamanda.

Growing method.
Use a good quality growing media with a PH of 6 or less. Plant plug carefully making sure that the bottom leaves are not covered. First Pinch can be done as soon as plants are established, thereafter pinch 3-5 times over the next month, month and a half.
Do not over water; try not to get leaves wet.
Allamanda requires a lot of light
Heat to a minimum of 18deg.C.

Allamanda is susceptible to White Fly (Bemisia Tabaci) and Aphids .Regular preventative spraying is recommended. Use appropriate local products

Fertilization.
Allamanda requires high levels of Fertilizer.250ppm Nitrogen, 250ppm Potassium and 100ppm Phosphorus and also iron and micro elements. Spray foliage with iron if leaves are chlorotic
